We take your safety seriously. Please read the following safety advice and contact us if you have any additional questions, comments or concerns.

Introduction To Female Forum

Female Forum is an online community for women. This site is only to be accessed by females over the age of 16.

Basic Safety Advice

Always stop and think before sharing personal information. Never reveal confidential information such as your bank account number or street address. We will never ask for this information (unless you win a competition prize, in which case I will ask you for a delivery address), and you should immediately report any messages you receive from other members who request details such as these.

Remember - people online may not be who they say they are. The Internet gives users a large degree of anonymity. Although we delete the accounts of members we suspect of being male or under 16 years of age, anyone with access to the Internet can access our site. Although Female Forum is for women over the age of 16, this does not necessarily mean that every member will actually be female and over the age of 16.

We always advise against meeting anyone you meet online in person. If you choose to ignore this advice, please ensure you meet in a busy, public place and preferably take a friend with you. At the very least, inform a friend of your plans - tell them where you are going, who you are meeting, and how long you plan to be out. Take a mobile phone with you, and ensure you have a way of getting home independently after any such meeting.

Safety Features

Our forums allow you to easily report offensive posts, and block messages from specific members.

To report offensive posts, simply click the ‘Report’ link that appears on the right hand side of every post. Do not respond to any posts you find offensive or undesirable.

To prevent specific members from being able to contact you, log into your control panel and expand the ‘Private Messages’ menu on the left hand side. Now click the link titled ‘Blocked List’ and add any users you wish to prevent from contacting you.

If you ever feel uncomfortable or wish to speak in private about any members of Female Forum, please contact me via private message or through the contact form.

Moderation

We cannot guarantee Female Forum will always be free of abuse. We take steps to remove offensive content as soon as we come across it, but we need you to report such content to us, as described above.

Moderator Feedback

Any feedback you may have about our moderation practices can be sent to us through our contact form.

Registration

To contribute to the Female Forum community, we require a username and a valid email address from you to help prevent abuse. Any additional information you give is entirely optional. All information you provide will be treated as stated in our privacy policy.

Profiles

Registered members are able to fill out an optional profile. If you choose to complete your profile, please be aware that any information you enter can be viewed by all members and visitors to the site.

Limit the amount of personally identifiable information you reveal. Sharing information such as your favourite books and musical tastes is great - this kind of information can help you develop relationships with other members. Just don’t include personal or sensitive information, such as your telephone number or street address.

Reporting Problems & How We Respond

We read and act upon all reports we receive of offensive or abusive behaviour. If necessary, we will take action against the content or member you have reported. Due to privacy restrictions, we are not always able to advise you of the outcome of these investigations. However, if we do not take action against content or members you report to us, we will inform you of the reasons why.

We are unable to monitor what every member does or says all of the time. Whilst we take all precautions in ensuring this site is as safe as possible, we cannot be held responsible for any consequences of your use of our services. Please see our terms of use for more information.

Online communities can be extremely safe places in which to meet new friends and develop existing relationships. Just use the same precautions when meeting new people online, that you do when you meet new people offline.

Thank you for using Female Forum.
