How about inventing a story together? smile

I will just start with the first phrase(s) and the next poster can add some 1-3 sentences etc.
This way you cannot forsee how the story will develop, it could be funny. :D

So here is my outset:

Sitting on this chair and waiting is no fun at all, how long will that take?
She thought, becoming gradually more impatient.

I had no idea just how infectious her personality would be. I tried to quell the impatience I was felt in having to wait to see her by imagining the discussion we were about to have. It could even become quite heated due to my desire to…

Thanks CB^^ but it doesn’t seem to be very popular and it gets quite a lot after a time, so it’s difficult to follow or the story becomes so messed up. smile

I had that slip off the cliff while I was photographing the nesting birds for national geographic. At least this building has walls for protection, I told myself as I knocked on the door. I heard a muffled voice from inside and…

Perhaps it will Jo, but it’ll be fun anyhow. There’s one running on a fish forum I go to that has become quite hilarious as its taking all sorts of twists and turns. Its all fun.

finally entered the room. It was small, untidy and dark but at least the chair was comfortable, so I took a seat and gave her a look, so she had an impression of the trouble she caused. As it was she was sitting there in front of a piece of paper and didn’t even bother to look up in the first moment.

I returned the favour of her arrogance using the one thing I knew would quickly take her off her pedestal. I slowly and purposely took the beautifully engraved cigarette case from my bag and leisurely pulled out one of the long and slender cigarillos. I casually lit the cigar as I watched her intently, exhaling in her direction.

This indeed was gratifying. She instantly glanced at me and I felt like her eyes were penetrating my mind. Her intimidating gaze prompted me into a nervous and uneasy state, which I managed to bridge, saying:” What? It’s not as if it would make a big difference to the mess in your office anyway. What is it about some smoke you can get rid of very fast?”, pointing to all the junk and papers around them.

She scoffed as she quickly gathered together handfuls of papers before stopping herself and throwing them back down on the desk. She glared at me for an instant, then visibly shrugged off my attempt to distract her. Looking me straight in the eyes she said: “What is it you really want? You’ve been following me for days. I’ve given you this time to speak your mind. Either do it now or let it go.” she glanced at her watch adding “You’ve got five minutes so make it quick.”

I heard her suck in her breath in surprise just before I slammed the door behind me. “Damn her.” I muttered under my breath “And damn Michael.” A million thoughts raced through my mind on the way back to the ground floor. The one thought that stood out most was that I didn’t have to play their game any more. It was finally over. I had stood my ground with the devil and walked away with without the demon. I was free!

had heckled her in anyway but that she had a further hidden agenda that I was obviously unaware of. I looked again at the engraving on the cigarette case, remembering how I’d found it. There was no doubt it was her’s from the initials, but had she planted it in order to have me assume her and Michael had been together on that night. I threw it back in bag and flagged a cab I was going to…
