Cat I’m so sorry I didn’t notice this thread. *slaps wrists*. mad

So how are things now you have finished your course? Did you go out and have a big celebration in honour of all your hard work?

You say you might start another course in September. Any ideas what? I wouldn’t mind doing a course of something or other, and I have looked at sites like Learn Direct, but they are so expenisve.

Well done to you for completing your course. smile

That’s fantastic, cat smile

I knew you’d end up making friends and really getting something out of the course!

For those interested in reading cat’s original thread, here it is:

So what’s next, cat? You might as well go all out for a degree now!

Well, after years of having to work in crappy jobs, since leaving my old job and doing this recent course im fortunate that my husband has given me a choice. I can either start looking for ‘a decent’ job now, or i can start a new course in sept. He would prefer me to start a new course as we dont think that we can always rely on his income in the future(he works for family & one day the business will fold and he will have to find a new job which will never pay as well-&will;be relying more on my income)so he thinks the more qualifications the better a job i can get.

Personally im really not sure, i liked being in college, its been a change for me after years of mundane work, plus obviously student life is a nice one!. He said he’ll give me money each month, but i keep thinking about birthdays and christmas and the lack of money i’ll have then.
so im swaying both ways!.

as for which course, well ive done the basic admin⁢course , theres 2 new ones starting in sept called “Diploma in medical secretary” &"Diploma in Medical reception”. None of the courses seemed very exciting but they looked like the best&possibly;the most interesting. Plus we dont have many prospects in our area, jobs are pretty hopeless so working for the hospital or similar might be my best bet.

Anyway, ive applied for both courses(&see;which one they think is best for me)&have;an interview at the college next month. But i have also applied for a job with a small private hospital so i guess im not keeping all my eggs in one basket!
