I am very jealous of all these cat owners. I grew up with cats and it’s weird living without them but I just think it’s unfair to keep them cooped up in an apartment all day long. I really believe there is no such thing as an ‘indoor cat’ and that they naturally love being able to go outdoors.

Plus, I still don’t think I am done travelling so I need to wait a little longer before getting a cat or two. I would always get them from rescue centres and my plan is to get one kitten and one old cat that nobody wants (as long as they get on OK!).

Over the past few days our cat has become really affectionate. She’s now coming up to us for attention and cuddles, and has been sleeping on our bed (not while we’re in it, but I was sat on it reading yesterday and she came and sat next to me). We’re also getting through the cat toys - she had a catnip mouse that was damaged a bit beyond repair (I came downstairs on Sunday morning and found a lot of fluff all over the carpet!) I think her favourite toy isn’t one we bought but one we made by stringing some beads onto a shoelace.

We’re working our way up to letting her out in the garden. My OH wants to get her one of those harnesses for the first time. Does anyone know if they’re any good? Personally I don’t think we’ll need it but maybe better safe than sorry?

Also, how does something so small make so much poop? big surprise

I’m so pleased that she’s warming up to you guys smile. I knew she would warm up to you two smile.

Enjoy smile
