Well we did it. We bought a wii and after playing guitar hero at my son’s we just had to get one. It’s been two weeks and we’re playing medium - errmm I should maybe rephrase that and say, we attempting to play on medium LOL

It’s great!

Anyone else play?

I don’t like the challenges!!! Have yet to get through one of those but my partner can. They stress me out too much and I forget the keys LOL.

I play rockband 2 a lot.  I was a little disapointed with the first game for the Wii since you couldn’t connect to the internet but for 2 on the Wii they fixed that.

Here’s a vid for Rock Band on youtube

Ah ha you pair… Fellow players… I LOVE IT! How long have you’s been playing and what level are you up to?

We got the World Tour one which seems to be pretty good. Intend getting the drum kit etc later, the guitar is enough for now LOL. I feel a bit sorry for my close neighbours cause at the mo they’re listening to the same songs over and over while I’m practicing. I’m a bit scared to get the mike.. my neighbours might all move out LOL.

One thing that’s frustrating with it is, it doesn’t help your percentage when the remote is pinging off of its own accord all the time (showing errors in play that aren’t you). I’m told you need to keep a finger on the strum bar and also remove the neck of the guitar and reconnect it again, which we’ve done but it still happens. A tad annoying when you get so close to that 100% only to have this happen. Regardless its enormous fun.

Thanks for the link ladysilver… am so very tempted… eeks how much of a priority did the partner say the new fish tank was… hahaha.

You should try and calibrate it to the TV. That really helps. Have you tried it?

It took us a view times to get use to the type of calibration.

Some songs are easier than others on the higher levels. My OH and I have been on expert. Its quite fun (but that also shows how we’ve sessioned it! LOL)

LOL

When you turn the game on, on the menu screen there should be an option to calibrate. Or it might be under options.

OH my I would have been really embarrassed too!! LOL. I guess it brings the kid out in all of us though hey. I still can’t do the Ted Nugent challenges even on easy.

*secret* - I have a numb thumb from playing. red face I grip the neck of the guitar too hard trying to make sure I hit the buttons. tongue rolleye It takes days to get the feeling back lol. Need to practice holding it differently.  cool smirk

I play on expert too, been an expert only player since guitar hero 3 I believe.  I loved rockband because me and my partner got it as a gift for ourselves for our wedding.  When I got that game I definitely felt bad about my bad singing but then I realized that everybody i play with can’t sing either lol.  So I didn’t feel so bad:)

WOW… Expert - I’m truly impressed!

Everything’s only a matter of practice though isn’t it… so I best get some more practice in LOL.

I think I want Rockband alot!!!

I figure its got to be a confidence booster as well… singing I mean. What better way to overcome shyness than to share your voice no matter what it sounds like… smile grin

Flutterby - the callibrating worked a treat! It was under options in the main Guitar Hero screen. It’s playing so smoothly now!!! Thank you for the help!!!  smile

I’m looking forward to increasing my percentage rate now. Oh if only we didn’t have to work LOL.

Its still playing up a bit… works for a couple of songs then goes haywire again. My son was here on the weekend and he has one as well and said, its just not doing what its supposed to. So we may have to take it back.

When its working, I’m getting 97 - 98% on the easier songs on Medium… so going to take a look at doing them on hard eeks big surprise

I just want to be able to play it without the probs of it playing up so think we’ll take it back and see what they say downer

hehehe… my son said he suffered immense pain the first few weeks - to the point where he couldn’t use his fingers..  LOL

Well I hope they change it for you guys if it is the guitar itself.

But wow! 97-98% is really good!!! Sometimes its easier to do them on hard, but its just the solo’s that use to catch me out. LOL

Oh and the drums on Rock band gave me such sore calfs for ages! LOL

I’ll let you know how it goes - we’re planning on taking it back on the weekend.

97 - 98% only on the really easy songs Flutterby, the rest are around 80 - 90%… the really hard songs I still struggle to not get kicked out LOL.

oh so the drums have the foot pedals? I’ve never seen them - think I should have a look on youtube!

Its got it all! 4 drums to hit and a pedal! Its quite confusing at first but its lots of fun once you get the hang of it smile. My favourite on drums is Enter Sandman - Metalica :D . LOL

That would be sooooooooooooooooo cool! I’m gonna have to wait till christmas awwwwwww!!!!  long face

You know the damn guitar has been working perfectly since I said we’d take it back! I’m pleased though cause it means we can play properly.

What do you think of Schism and Scream Aim Fire - They are soooooooooo hard! I can only just get through them on easy but most times gotta have a retry, on medium I last about 10 seconds and that’s probably exaggerating it’s more likely 5 seconds LOL
