I’ve organised raffles before, but would like some advice on where I can go to look up the specific regulations regarding ticket sales, prizes and the actual draw itself.

Ta!

Just so happens I have been looking this up myself, mostly the government gift aid scheme for on line charity donations

Well you may find this site useful http://www.raisingfunding.co.uk/raffles-lotteries-lucky-dips.html

and for the charity side of things assuming thats what your up to this site may be of use to you too

Are you raising for anything in particular?

Thanks Kezflake, I’ll be onto these for info.

I’m a piano teacher and belong to EPTA (European Piano Teachers Association) and my local branch wants to fund raise, in order to arrange more activities.  I’m pretty certain it is a charity, but I’ll double check.

I think as far as I know their definition of charity is fairly loose so long as you are raising funds for a specific cause and not deliberately excluding any minority groups you can qualify for the tax back.
