Hello there,

I’m a married lady, four children , three under 13 so I need a job that fits around the children and holidays as children care is a costly biz.
I clean people’s houses, I found my first job through a friend and then built it up word by mouth. I charge between £5 to £7 per hour, I take into account what they want me to do and age, there is quite a lot of eldery folk on state pensions so I just charge £5 per hour what ever they want me to do, they also want a chat as well. I would rather do four £5 jobs for eldery than two £7 jobs as I feel I am brightening there day, they certainly brighten my day with there stories etc.
Wish my house was as clean!!LOL

I do lots of other little jobs in my dairly life that are not cleaning, everything to fit in around my hubby and children.

Hi there
I have worked as a home help for the past 5 years and I love chatting to the old people some have had fantastic lives ..makes me quite envious!
Yet when I tell a lot of people what I do the turn their noses up.

I hope you enjoy it here..

some of my first jobs were cleaning jobs, mine were for hotels, some treated me better than others, i think the best employer were Premier inn(they were travel inn back then).Although they werent particually well paid i did quite like being left to do rooms, in my own little world, there was also a pride when they were done and you looked over them and saw how nice they looked, people seem to frown on cleaning, but i would do it again no problem.

im now a student, but if i end up going back to full time work i dont think i’ll be able to handle the house work as well as we are moving to a new house soon which is quite large, 3 bathrooms/toilets etc so i would consider asking someone to clean for us, i just feel a bit lazy then though!

Working for 3 different employment agency’s this year I have found myself ina range of jobs including cleaning and I agree with cat that it can be nice to drift of into your own littl world I think im just better working alone.

The downside is the disrespect I get from people when I tell them what I do, then once I take on some data entry or call center cover leave its all change in attitude.

3 bedroom/bathrooms I think it would take just as much effort to mess the place up a to clean it, I find the more space I have the tidier I am.

At the end of the day, A job is a job, You’re providing for your family if ppl look down their noses at you then more fool them. My job isn’t pleasant but I don’t particularly care what others think, I’m supporting myself and working hard while doing so and that’s all that matters!

Don’t care what other people think, Lifes too short !!
