Ya twisted my arm SG. LOL

I’m going with another Canadian girl, it’s not a traditional Christmas song, but I love it.

Kids love this one, they will call into the radio station and request it. Gayla Peevey was 10 years old when she recorded it back in 1953.

lol…that santa looks mean! Or maybe just frustrated. wink

Kamille, I am trying to think of that wonderful Canadian singer (country) from the 70’s and 80’s. Arghh! I just love her…oh wait Ann something. Got it, Ann Murray. If I keep talking enough I can figure it out! lol Anyway I just love her voice and her Christmas songs. She did one about angels, flying, snow…something. Can you help me out here?

It might be “SnowBird”??

lol…. I often wonder why mum’s insist on having these poor little darlings photographed with Santa… he does look a little mean - here’s a more affable looking Santa - not that this kid thought so (hehe).

I remember Anne Murray for her love songs - I think she faded out towards the end of the 80. Don’t remember her Christmas albums though I know she recorded quite a few!

Sorry Myturn I’ve been away, and yes, you’re right, her name is Anne Murray, you don’t hear too much of her now, although she does pop up at Christmas time for her annual television special. Her daughter has kind of taken over now, her name is Dawn Langstroth.

I have this CD, and I’ve chosen a couple of songs from it, its by our very own Canadian Tenors, this CD is called The Perfect Gift, and this is one of my favorites.

Kam The Prayer is beautiful… thankyou girlie. I love the Canadian Tenors… I want to actually get one of their CDs may do that today. Franco wants me to get a french CD of Xmas songs… apparently the kids have been playing repetitively Petit Papa Noel to the point he says he now knows the words lol Kids have decided they want to learn french (haha). I brought out one of my old Xmas song cd The Three Tenors with Pavarotti and have had them blaring out this morn… crumpets this house is sooooo quiet with the kids.  I also want the get Andrea Bocelli and the Tenors version as well - and perhaps the one he sings with Celine Dion - gaw I love that mans voice.

I thought you might appreciate the Italian SG, yes, I love Andrea Bocelli no matter what he is singing, he probably sounds good even singing in the shower grin

Well we can’t have Christmas without a little Country…
