I found my boyfriend through net and he is indian. We both love each other. I call her sister few weeks before and he got many problem after that. He father knew about my call and stop him to go to college take any call and use internet. Luckily his sister and mum conveince his father but still he love me.

I’m glad that you found someone that you liked online. I met my partner of 5 years now online - and I think its lovely because we got to know eachothers personalities first before actually sending photo’s and meeting up. Eventhough I knew he was not going to be some elderly man , I still took precautions - I met him with a group of friends. Its always good to just be cautious . It was the best moment of my life seeing him walking down the street towards me . Felt like I was in the movies! lol.

Do you go tot he same college as your boyfriend? Or do you live close to each other or is it long distance?

Good to hear that there are a lot of lucky and genuine stories of love on the web, but mind you, there are still some shady people out to get ya on the interwebs. Knew this friend of mine who if it weren’t for a little googling and online investigation care of moi, woulda been hacked off of her savings. It’s not all that bad but i reckon you gotta be careful always.

I completely agree with you Alia - It is important to be careful. I see myself as very lucky to have such luck with my other half. But lately you have to be so careful!

Isn’t it funny how quickly things have changed since about 10 years ago? Now more that half of the couples (according to that poll) have met online. I think thats where the more genuine people go. I haven’t really heard of many people who have met in pubs or so. Maybe at uni.
