I was just surfing the web to find a place where women could chat about things in general.

Did you mean Oregon? It is nice cool fall weather. Wind blowing, had some rain early this morning but not enough. I love this weather. I can open the windows and let the air in to freshen up the rooms. I don’t like cold weather but cant really complain. Its coming anyway.

Yes, I meant Oregon. Sorry.

It got chilly here pretty quickly 80 degrees to 60s and cooler in early morning and nights.

I don’t mind cooler weather but I wouldn’t mind a slow transition!

It doesn’t stop me from heading out though. I’m hoping to head out to the farm today to pick some pumpkins and splash in the puddles.

Any plans this weekend?

We are also heading to a concert on Sunday for a friends band called Blind Pilot. So excited to see them.!

No real plans.  We went shopping yesterday trying to find some pecan picker uppers. Didn’t find any in this small town. My daughter has 2 pecan trees that are loaded and neither of us is able to bend and pick them up by hand. That is why we need the pickers. But she has some but they are in storage and you may know what storage units look like. Open the door and it all falls out into your face.

I have a house cat and a yard dog that are both spoiled rotten. And I have laying hens that are also spoiled.  I live in the country and we sell the eggs to our family and friends. I know my life is boring compared to others, but I love my country life. We do got to Branson MO and Eureka springs once a year but decided not to this year. I love it up there.
Well nice visiting with you . Later.

What do you use your pecan nuts for? Do you get loads from your trees?

I love pecan pie! My close friend from Alabama shared my favorite recipe:

1 cup sugar
1 tbs flour
3 eggs
1 cup white karo syrup
1 stick butter softened
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans
pie crust
mix sugar with flour, add eggs, syrup, butter, and vanilla.  mix well.  sprinkle pecans on crust.  pour batter over and bake at 375 for 15 min.  reduce heat to 325 and bake for 45 - 60 min.  smile  I hope you like it!!  happy baking!

Your life doesn’t sound boring. I moved away from city life 6 years ago and I am so happy that I did. I live in a small town in Oregon.

I am curious too… what do you use your pecans for?

Why aren’t you heading to MO this year, sorry I am noisy smile
