I have four lol

Kept them SMART though, so that they’re more achievable:

Be good enough at Viola to be able to join an amateur group by end of 2017.

To lose 5lbs every month.

To complete the walk 1,000 miles challenge.

To learn to declutter and tidy my house properly (or at least my part)

I have been thinking about what I’m eating for a good few years now and will carry on doing so. It is not a New Year’s resolution as such but I am careful about what I consume. I do eat chocolate but I don’t eat much dessert [apart from the odd yogurt]. I don’t go out of my way to buy such foods. I also keep a food diary on my computer, so I know what my diet consists of. I tend to avoid fried and processed foods. I also don’t smoke and only drink the odd tipple. 2017 is about carrying on that trend. However, I do need more exercise!

I love swimming Lauren. It is fantastic hobby and way to exercise. What is holding you back? Swimming in the warm sea is one of my favorite things to do especially if I have snorkeling gear.

Cherry, I’ve taken a few days off sugar. I think I over did it on the holidays! Can one OD on sugar?

Well the rest of those brownies I received as a gift are now going in the garbage! I totally over did it on sugar. I feel awful. I’m not even hungry and I’m running for the box for another one!

I’m not one for resolutions, however my friend had a fun idea. Every year she picks one word (could be up to 5 words really). The word(s) are your yearly intention or a theme. How you want your year to flow.

Here are some ideas I picked up from Elizabeth Rider who writes about, Forget New Year’s Resolutions, You Need A Word Of The Year. Pick It Here… http://www.elizabethrider.com/word-of-the-year/

Abundant Aligned Balanced Bliss Classic Congruent Consistent Creative Depth Desire Desire Devout Divine Educated Enlightened Fit Forgiving Free Free-Spirited Game-Changing Giving Glowing Gracious Grateful Gratitude Happy Healthy Honest Humbled Journey Joyful Laser-Focused Loving Mindful Of Service Open Passion Peaceful Radiant Sassy Savvy Sexy Sexy-smart Soulful Sparkle Spiritual Strong Tenacious Truth Unstoppable Vibrant Wellness Whole

I’m going to think about this a little more and post my phrase or word smile

This sounds like a good way to go. I could pick on more than one word that would be right for me but Responsibility seems like a good place to start!

Cherry it sounds like you need to get back on the dance floor, can I come too? I just finished those brownies. I had a huge box of them and instead of throwing them away I figured I just eat them so I would stop thinking about them! Makes sense right!

Lindylo, I believe, you can pick up to 5 words. This is a great place to start. I think we can all be more responsible.

I feel like I am on a good path with my intention. I unpacked my last box, I moved here in March, of my framed pictures and decorations. I am working on brightening my space, these pictures help. Next I need to get some mirrors up.

One of my guy friends shared his three words for 2017.
Unbridled. Heartfelt. Prosperity.

I like Action, balance and courage. I realize its ABC haha.

Action as i embark on a new phase in my studies (professional level). Balance as i would like to improve my mental and emotionsl health through yoga, and courage, to do things ive never done before - nothing crazy, just some new stuff coz honestly i am so predictable.
