Siouxi, Anne, and Cheryl,

Thanx for sharing this with us and I somewhat looked at via the link to see what it is about.  I for one I’m certainly glad that I’m glad that I live in this period as opposed back then.

LOL

I have to say though, that there are some sensible ideas -  referring to the risks of being out alone at night or respect for elders!

I’m certainly glad to live in this era and not the past! Those times must’ve been absolutely awful. I would’ve hated to be alive then.

KitKatKitty,

I 2nd that, but at the same time I would also take certain aspects from that era as well.  That includes beyond all other past eras as.  Expect for the manners parts of it and maybe beyond as well.  I mean like incorporating them into my modern lifestyle.

Thanks Papillio LOL

I wonder who thought of these, man or woman? It is like some of the wierd dreams I have had in the past, when being the obedient housewife at his beck and call! I am sure my mother would never have put up with that.

I can tell you for a fact that my female relatives didn’t! But then again, I’d descended from Irish-immigrant prostitutes who found a new home in Scotland so it’s kinda a given! wink

That’s so cool, Papillio! May I ask how you discovered your heritage? Was it passed down throughout your family’s desendance? My grandfather was a farmer in Ireland [my father’s side]. My grandmother on my mum’s side worked in a dress shop for many years. I know a little of my family’s history. Anyhow, I would have liked to meet your Victorian relatives, Papillio!
