Do you get dressed up for Christmas Day? Is Christmas the one time of the year when you really make the effort to look good for the big day?

Maybe you have a really special sparkly dress complete with accessories that you keep especially for the occassion.

I think most of us would like to make an effort for the big day, and probably we should, but I think for most of us, especially us mums with very young children, it just isn,t always possible.

Your so busy running around cooking the dinner and dealing with overexcited children, that getting dressed up is the last thing on your mind.

Maybe, once the day is over and the kids are tucked up in bed sound asleep, is the time you have a nice bath and then put your glad rags on, simply to look nice for the evening.

When we were kids, we always had to get dressed up in our “Sunday best” and get dressed up for Christmas day. It was just a tradition my parents had.

Do you bother getting dressed up for Christmas?

We do!!

I have the boys in their best outfits, my daughter has a special Christmas dress and I don’t wear a dress, but I will wear a sparkly christmassy top with trousers.

It’s nice to make the effort, especially since we see a lot of family on the big day.
