What do you think about women over the age of 40 wearing short skirts? Do you think that once you reach 40 you should “dress your age” and only wear skirts below the knee?
Or maybe you couldn,t care less what other people think and you wear them anyway.

If you have great long legs all the way to your armpits like Jerry Hall for instance, you can get away with it, but even she is over 50. And what about Tina Turner? She,s nearly 70 and she still wears them!

Yesterday I was sitting at my daughters school waiting for her and this woman came out who was clearly 40 or over and she was wearing a short skirt.I,ll be honest,it looked awful. She didn,t have the legs or the figure for it. I must admit to thinking some very bitchy thoughts. Well you do don,t you? wink

If you are a young woman in your 20’s or 30’s and you have a great figure and good legs, then yes go for it, but once you get to 40 and beyond, most of us have less than perfect figures and due to having kids, most of our bodies defy gravity. Should we really be wearing short skirts at that age? What do you think?

I think everyone should look in the mirror and be honest with themselves. There are some women who are well over forty who look fab in a mini skirt. There are some women who are 18 who don’t. Age is irrelevant - if you look good in something you should wear it, if you don’t you shouldn’t.

I think allot of celebrity’s like Tina Turner can get away with it because its part of their job to look fantastic and even her age she is still very well know.

I agree with everything said by Mookie with, I am 24 but there are some women over 40 who have a body I can only dream of having so I don’t think age is the most relevant factor here.
