Contraception is an important issue for many women. There are many temporary options available, from pills to shots to natural methods. Some of these are perfect choices for those who want to plan their next pregnancy more carefully, but for others a permanent solution is more desirable. Permanent birth control can give those who do not want children or are finished having children the peace of mind they want.

  • Planning for the End of Your Life

    17 Jul 2009 0 comments

No one ever really wants to think about death. It’s not the most pleasant of things to think about or plan. Most women would rather plan for the birth of a child or even a root canal before they start thinking about the end of their life and how to handle their affairs. Unfortunately though, no one lives forever. As morbid as that sounds, it’s important to have your affairs in order and your wishes known before that day comes. As people are beginning to lead healthier lives, our life expectancy grows well into our eighties and even nineties. Rather than be caught off guard with an illness or tragedy that forces you to get your life in order for your loved ones, take a look at some things you can do to plan ahead so that you and your family are prepared.

  • Maximize the Quality of Your Life

    25 Mar 2009 1 comment

Unfortunately, giving thanks for what we have in life seems to be something that is neglected. It is far too easy to fall in to the daily monotony of life, and not think about how lucky we are to have good health, a job that pays the bills, a cherished partner, responsible kids, a roof over our head and food that goes on the table every night. Some live their lives by taking this in to account, and others don’t.

  • The Oddest Accessory You Own

    09 Mar 2010 4 replies

What is the strangest accessory that you own?  Whether it be a mickey mouse watch or necklace portraying a man juggling chain saw in a nursery.  My strangest is a gift from a little boy who gave me a necklace with a hanging gingerbread man...not something I really want to wear but I’ll please the kid sometime by wearing it when I see him.

I haven’t been complimented due to my work outfit in a long time.  If you have, what was that you wore?  And more importantly, did you get the compliments from a perverted boss or from fellow peers?

  • The right to defend your family

    15 Feb 2010 5 replies

How far would you be prepared to go, in order to defend your family? Two thugs, stoned out of their heads on drugs and booze, broke into this law abiding mans home, and threatened to rape his wife and kill his family. He used the only weapon he had to hand which was a Samurai sword. In doing so he nearly severed one of the thugs ears. He has been cleared of all the charges.

How far would you go to defend your family? If a knife or cricket bat was the closest thing to hand,…

  • Taking a compliment

    17 Feb 2010 3 replies

It would seem us women are not very good at accepting compliments. An article I read recently said that whenever women recieved a compliment on their looks, they replied that the person doing the complimenting obviously needed glasses!

I must admit I’m guilty of this. If, (and it’s rare) that I get a compliment, I think to myself: “are you blind? I look awful. My hair is a mess, as usual, and my skin looks dreadfull, as usual”. I then spend the next 10 minutes putting myself down and pointing out all my other faults, (of…
