  • Would you give up work travelling for your OH?

    In my line of work, I need to travel. Saying no to the boss would just get you blacklisted from getting projects. Some travel period could be as long as year or so, and the destinations are mostly far far away. My boyfriend dislikes travelling, as much as he hates me travelling for work.

    I do like travelling myself, and with work, you can go to places you never thought you would have a chance by yourself.You save on accomodation and you get allowances.

    I had my first council meeting today, and they have little name card thingys in chambers to show you where to sit - I got very excited when I saw mine and took a pic! :D

  • A reprimand

    My daughter works in a call centre on the technical help desk..

    She got a reprimand today because she doesn’t always use the standard sentence’s..
    As she answers each call she must introduce herself and use the company name and then say ‘I am here to solve any technical difficulties you are experiencing.’.

    At the end of each conversation you must say… At the beginning of this conversation I explained I was here to solve your technical problem, have I succeeded in achieving that?

    Hi All,

    I don’t know who is QUITE aware of where I work and the ins and outs ETC but I shall try my best and bullet point the specifics:-

    • ceedy, underground, home-grown Financial Advisers
    • didn’t use to pay me “by the books.” by this I mean transfers (naughty I know)
    • he’s (Boss / Financial Adviser / only one) hardly ever @ the office as lives in countryside and has an office open there. So comes in for about 8 days over a month, does business, I process it…
