We tend to use plain vegetable oil when cooking but I keep reading that olive oil is supposed to be healthier. I have even seen those artificial sprays that are meant to only be one calorie per spray, but it seems a little weird to me to use what seems to be something so industrial to prepare food.

Do you pay attention to the oils you cook with and what do you use?

We mainly use olive oil for light frying and for putting on salads. Vegetable oil is used for everything else. I think I read somewhere that olive oil has a low burn temperature which means if you fry it for too long it will burn and transfer a burnt taste to your food.

Pretty simple, me – just stick to sunflower oil for everything!
