Hello cassandra. I would love to be part of such community projects. Neighbours helping neighbours is wonderful and really worth doing. And it should not just be done in small communities: it should be something done everywhere. And I do think a post could be put in a community centre to get the ball rolling. Plus on Facebook.
People can definitely help each other out this way: especially with the pandemic going on.

February 22, 2021 at 9:59 pm #228254Clean Out Your Bookcases Day – But I just can’t part with the books I’ve collected and haven’t yet read! Actually, I do try to “cull” them now and then to leave room for the next ones that will appeal to me, but it’s a tough job!
Something that has really caught on here are mini library’s people put a little cabinet outside their door and you are invited to take a book or replace a book its all free and it allows you to pass on the one time reads you have and get hold of something new at the same time.
There are several of these “Wee Libraries” in our town. I do take books to them, but I also check them too often for items to bring back home…
February 22, 2021 at 10:01 pm #228256Yay, Rihanna Day! (I have a friend from junior high who was born in Barbados, so I’ve been fascinated with the country for years…)

I have mentioned it before but I took time to take a couple of photographs yesterday. This is the book exchange I use. It has got a bit untidy recently as lots of books have been added. I think the local church people tidy it and have other books which are normally sold at jmble sales etc but obviously there is none of that at the moment.

February 23, 2021 at 2:17 pm #228289That is so COOL, SpinningJen! I LOVE it. I think the town where I live should do the same. In fact, I reckon everywhere throughout Britain should do the same.
A genius idea.

February 25, 2021 at 8:46 am #228340Emily Blunt is one of my favourite actresses. She has such range in the characters she plays. I have never seen her repeat herself. I do love her in “The Devil Wears Prada”. She pulls off an excellent performance. Also in “Mary Poppins” her performance is stellar.
I am a HUGE Emily Blunt fan: and always will be.

Shushan Purim (Israel)February 27, 2021 at 3:29 pm #228430hey, so I’ve been posting these for a while now and would like to ask a genuin question
up until now, I’ve been posting all of them (even in other countries), and that’s still okay if you want me to
do you want all of them?, or do you just want ones that are of particular interest, or do you even just want 1 picked one per day to discuss.
I thought I’d ask. I don’t want to post stuff if their’s no interest in some of it
